The team at A1 comprises of a variety of highly skilled and qualified British people that have a huge amount of experience in the boating, yachting and engineering services. Our staff are professional, reliable and dedicated.

 

Engineering : We offer a complete engineering service to our clients in all onboard areas, including : Engine servicing and refurbishment,Diesel, petrol ,jet tender and outboards all serviced and repaired onboard or in our marina based workshop,  hydraulic diagnosis and repairs, electrical and electronic repair services and installations. Airconditioning installation, service and repairs, general refridgeration and full refit services. Pre launch services including bearing and shaft alignments, anode changes, bow & stern thruster installations, propeller and underwater gear polishing and protection.

 

Boat care : Cleaning, polishing, painting, interior cleaning and presentation, teak deck care and refurbishment, Grp and gelcoat repairs, osmosis treatment, soda blasting removal and underwater epoxy coating treatments, carpentry, carpeting, window, hatches and perspex replacement.

Electronics : Our qualified electrical engineers install and diagnose faults on most types of electrical systems, we supply wiring looms and sub systems to support ancillary equipment installations, such as water makers, aircon units and electronic navigational equipment. Battery replacement and testing, alternator output testing and upgrades, installation of high quality music and entertainment systems and marine radios with DSC and AIS.

Royal Yachting Association sailing and motoryacht instructors : This section is headed by the Principal of the RYA school here in Alcudia Martin Whyte, RYA instructor sail and power to master 200 gross tons, licensed to instruct on sail and motor vessels to Yachtmaster Offshore standard, commercially endorsed and MCA approved.

 

Martin has many thousands of sea miles in many areas throughtout Europe and beyond, his teaching style is relaxed , friendly, informative and patient, believing that students who enjoy the experience gain more from the course and are then encouraged to continue to a higher standard. Martin teaches both theory and practical courses either in our marina based classroom or onboard one of our modern vessels, he is also highly experienced in own boat tution.

 

David, is the schools RYA approved Cruising Instructor and teaches practical sailing at Competent crew and Dayskipper levels onboard the sailing schools fleet of modern yacts, he also has many years experience in yachting and instruction and offers a similar style of instruction as Martin.

 

Cleaning and boat care : This section is under the care of Sharon Smith who manages a team of yacht technicians caring for and preparing the interior of our charter fleet and privately owned yachts, she is also responsible for the chandlery shop and sourcing of purchased items from suppliers worldwide.

 

Courtesy transport service: Alan is our airport minibus service designated driver, in the modern 9 seater  Renault Traffic, he has extensive knowledge of the island and the local areas gained during many years as a professional coach driver here in Mallorca.

 

Yacht charter : This section of the Group is managed and administered by Tracy, she has responsibility for the control of all charter bookings and customer requirements.

 

Hair and nail specialists: Rebecca and Kim are our qualified hair dressers and nail technicians offering both salon and onboard services to our clients, they are available in the salon located here in Alcudia or onboard as required, both are fully qualified and highly experienced.
